2022 becomes 2023

Breaking into a new year! All of us stand on the cusp of something great but do we truly believe that? Each January 1st, so many of us make these things we call resolutions and this year will be the same. Why we do this seems logical to me. Out with the old and in with the new so to speak. What I wonder though is do we really throw the old out? Or do we drag that trash with us into the new year? Perhaps this year as you and I resolve to do things. we should also resolve to truly leave things. Things we carry that cause us hurt or heartache. Things we carry that don’t give us peace but cause us anxiety. What if we left those on the other side of 12am? What if the fireworks that will go off to mark the new year could be seen as a controlled detonation of the crap we don’t want to drag with us into 2023? Imagine if you will, the dropping of the ball in NYC as a wrecking ball slamming into the building that represents the trauma we have been packing around with us from place to place. I say let’s do that! You and I should resolve to leave 2022’s garbage in 2022. Jump into 2023 with a new prospective on life. One that is filled with possibilities and joy not hampered by the ills of last year. Make the new resolutions to lose weight, get in shape, buy that things you have always wanted, go back to school, go to church, go for hikes, go golfing more, enjoy the arts and to love each moment and each person in your life with more intensity and finally resolve to leave the past in the past. I will if you will my friend, and hopefully come 2024 we can celebrate a true personal renewal together. Love you friends and thank you for reading my blogs this past year and for being a part of my journey. Peace and Prosperity to you and your loved ones this coming year.
